I often yearn to see things as they could have been in a bygone era. Quite often I rue the fact that I was born in the 80's and by the time I started photography seriously, the geography and its elements around me changed rapidly.

A couple of years back I came across a wet plate photograph . Printed on glass it was a shiny silver black and white that shimmered when turned ever so slightly in light. At that very moment I knew that this process was my way back into time.  I travelled to Studio Goppo in Shanti Niketan to learn the process of Wet Plate Photography and produced these plates shown in the gallery.

Wet Plate Photography will be a long term project & I am working to take it outdoors as much as I can.
